Typical Installations
Slow loading Large Images, Please be patient.

Below you will see the typical installations for the various brands of chimney we carry.  As you can see, most applications are basically the same, only the names for the components may be different from each manufacturer. You can get a very good idea what you will need by looking over these diagrams.

If you have any questions, we welcome you to email Support at support@hartshearth.com (copy and paste to your email client) or you may call us at 1-800-924-0850.

There are occasions when you will need to offset the chimney to get by the ridge pole or some other obstruction when going through the house. The image to the right shows that type of installation.
There may be other times you may need to offset the chimney to get by a short sofit when going out and up the outside wall of your house.  The principle is the same.

Look in the instructions of the brand you are considering to get the offset measurements of that pipe's elbows and such.
