About Gel Fuel, and Real Flame Brand 

 

Real Flame® fuel burns isopropyl alcohol (i.p.a.) with special ingredients to enhance the flame and provide a realistic sounding crackle.  The product has been tested by a number of independent research laboratories and found to be perfectly safe.
The air quality of the product in a room when the fuel is burning falls within the standards established by the occupational safety and health administration (O.S.H.A.) and the Environmental Protection Agency (E.P.A.).

 

A can of Real Flame® jel produce up to 3,000 BTU's an hour. Since there is no chimney heat stays in the room, 100% heat efficiency.

 

(However these are primarily decorative and not recommended as a heating device).
